The science museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The New York Hall of Science is the city's only hands-on science and technology centre. This science museum features more than 225 exhibits. The Staten Island Institute of Arts and Sciences is New York's only general interest museum. The museum features a huge selection of geological and archeological specimens; as well as a vast collection of insect specimens.
